Innovative smart living

A REVOLUTION FOR SELF-DEFINED LIVING Innovation, sustainability and awareness

Innovative smart living

is an overall concept of different technologies for self-sufficient living with a special focus on Namibia and southern Africa. Water management, drinking water production, photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, wind power and aquaponics are integrated into a "tiny module house" concept based on ecologically high-quality overseas containers.

We are inspired by the ideas and projects of "Earthship" pioneer Michael Reynolds.

"Imagine a house that heats itself, supplies its own water, produces its own food. Imagine it doesn't need expensive technology, recycles its own waste, has its own energy source."

Michael Reynolds

Knowledge & Technology Transfer

We realize a comprehensive technology transfer, which enables you as a project planner and private individuals an independent life and independent business. We build for you an innovative, the "price worth" bridge between science, technology and craftsmanship.

In addition to research projects (case studies) and practical demonstrators, the focus is on the development of sustainable and turnkey solutions, e.g. for tourism and interested private customers.

Innovative Smart Living is "sustainable" in many ways!

Not only energy and water, but also food production are in closed systems. Nothing is lost, everything serves a purpose. Buildings are like living organisms: there is a constant exchange of energy and materials between a dwelling and its surroundings.

The United Nations has drawn up 17 goals at the economic, social and ecological level to ensure sustainable development worldwide. These "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) came into force on 01.06.2016 with a term of 15 years. The "Innovative Smart Living" concept addresses 11 of these 17 sustainability goals alone.

The following goals and tasks are in the foreground for us:

01 Sustainability

02. High technical standard due to products from German suppliers

03. resource saving

04. Scientifically accompanied

05. use of the latest technology

06. top products through integrated local craftsmen's businesses

07. create living space

08. Renewable energies (small stand-alone plants, also hybrid plants)

09. drinking water production, drinking water treatment by condensation

10. create jobs and apprenticeships

11. Start-ups integrated into the project

12. Innovative upcycling (interior design, furniture, etc.)

13. Standardized and cost-effective production through plug-in segments and final assembly at the customer's site.

14. Favorable transport costs due to container modules (truck, rail and sea transport).

15. 100% recycling of all products

16. partnerships, German know-how and German technology as a "construction kit" for Africa

Sustainable Development Goals

The UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Our project addresses 11 of them alone:

Goal 2: No hunger

Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation facilities

Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy

Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth

Goal 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure

Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities

Goal 12: Sustainable consumption and production

Goal 13: Climate protection measures

Goal 14: Life under water

Goal 15: Life on land

Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the objectives

Partner

The project, which was significantly developed in cooperation between research, industry and SME partners from Germany and Namibia, focuses on southern Africa with Namibia, South Africa and Botswana.

Both the AU (African Union), with the Agenda 2030, and the Federal Republic of Germany, with the 2017 Marshall Plan, provide guidance. With the INNOVATIVE SMART LIVING project, we are tackling the practical implementation of these guidelines. Because of the high innovation potential, various talks are currently taking place for funding programs of the EU and Southern Africa!

Goals and values of the company and its partners

1. linking and implementing the 2030 Agenda (African Union) with the Federal Government's 2017 Marshall Plan.

2. "Made in Germany" - linking research, science and technology with craftsmanship

3. accompany customers, continuously develop and optimize products

4. counteracting deficiencies in drinking water supplies

5. counteracting deficiencies in the energy supply

6. Utilize the great potential of manpower in southern Africa by creating training and employment opportunities.

7. New start-ups in the service, maintenance, craft, marketing and digitization sectors.

8. Strengthen both the European economy and the economy in Namibia and Africa.

9. cooperation with mindful tourism, environmental protection and nature conservation.

Target customers

Our customers

With the arbitrarily scalable size, the "building block" system and the mobile design, we address a broad interested clientele, e.g.:

- Individuals and families

- Municipalities (schools)

- Tourism (Apartments, Holiday Flats, Camping To Go)

- Associations, environmental and nature protection (office, accommodation)

Tourism industry

Currently, the main focus is on the tourism sector in Namibia.

Due to the flexible design and composition of the segments and stand-alone solutions, projects can be realized from the "coast to the desert".
